'Suspicious Death' Investigation Launched After Dead Body Found In Home Along US 222 In PA

A dead body found in a home on US 222 in Lancaster has led to a "suspicious death" investigation authorities say.

The unidentified body was found during a welfare check in the 900 block of North Lime Stree/US 222 in Lancaster on Monday, Dec. 12, around 8:30 a.m., according to a release by area police.

Upon arrival, officers with the Lancaster Bureau of police found "a deceased person" and called detectives from the Lancaster City Bureau of Police Criminal Investigative Division and personnel from the Lancaster County Coroner’s office to the scene.
